FAQs

What does community access for disability mean?

Community access for individuals with disabilities refers to the physical access they have to certain environments and spaces apart from their homes. This is an important part of helping these members of society lead an engaging, connected, supported and enriching life.

Through disability day programmes and other types of support, individuals gain a sense of connection and are able to develop the key skills they need.

What is a disability support programme?

These kinds of programmes refer to those that support various individuals suffering from different disabilities and other chronic health conditions. They generally comprise a range of activities that provide a sense of community and connection and help disabled individuals acquire core skills they need to live an empowered and independent life.

How can I participate in the Social Hub?

If you or someone you’re supporting wants to join our Social Hub, the first step is to register with us as participants. Once you’ve signed up with us, we create a plan around your needs and give you access to our space where you can engage in a range of activities and pastimes.

Can I bring my own support worker?

Yes, you can. Our hub is a safe and inclusive space for all individuals and abilities.

How do I need to pay to have access to the social hub?

No, the hub is a free space for all to enjoy. We do have special events that may require a small donation from time to time but we will let you know in advance.
